Hope Center’s Micro-Business
Is Off and Running

World Hope proudly announces the start of its Micro-business plan at Hope Center. In order to boost an economy with an unemployment rate of around 70%, we have begun a plan to facilitate economic growth by starting small businesses throughout the community. In the short term, this will stimulate growth in the area by providing the much needed jobs and income to those who desire to work but cannot at present, find any jobs. In the long term, the goal is to make Hope Center self-sustaining, thereby freeing up funds for building projects and even expansion into other countries around Kenya and all of East Africa.
We have purchased our first bread oven and are currently in the training stages to begin work baking and selling bread. The oven will bake 20 -30 loaves at one time and can be run around the clock, allowing shifts of two to three employees per shift. Once baked the bread will picked up and sold all over Nairobi.
In addition to the bread, we are beginning construction on a chicken farm that will produce poultry that will also be sold throughout the city. There is a great demand for poultry in Kenya and we are excited that we will have a small part in meeting that need. Each chicken farm will employee about 4 people and can raise between three and five thousands chicken per season.
We are hoping to duplicate these businesses in a very short time frame and spread the concept even beyond our immediate area. Will you pray that the Lord will give us great success in this area so that we may be able to bring these precious people a hope for a better life while here on earth? For $1000.00 we can purchase these cast iron bread ovens that will seemingly last forever. For $3000.00 we can start a new chicken farm. These are investments that will continue to reap a great harvest for many years to come. Please pray that through these simple instruments, lives will be touched both physically and spiritually.
Thanks you all for continuing to help bring the world hope.
